Celebrates its Third Anniversary!

All new students to The People Sanctuary can try their first yoga class for just $5 during this week!

Students who already attend classes at The People Sanctuary can also get a class for $5 if they bring a new person to try yoga during this week!

There will also be many specials in "The Corner Store", and other goodies too! Come help B.J. celebrate!

Community Meditation Group

BECAUSE OF THE SNOW, THIS GROUP IS POSTPONED. WE WILL MEET SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 13, SAME TIME. This community-building activity began in February of 2006 at the request of B.J. McNeillie's yoga students. It has become a very safe and supportive group not only to learn about and practice meditation, but also to nurture your spiritual journey. Wear comfortable clothes. No meditation experience is required.
There is no set fee for this group, but a love offering will be gratefully accepted.



A Tour of the Chakras
Date / Time: Sat. February 20, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

In this workshop, we will learn how to balance the eight major energy centers of the body through meditation and simple yoga exercises. When energy is not moving through the chakras in a balanced way, we can feel unsafe, creatively blocked, powerless, disconnected, unable to communicate effectively, and sometimes just plain invisible. When we understand the role of each chakra, we can use yogic tools to rebalance energy and rebalance our lives. An extensive handout booklet with great reference information in included in this workshop.
Fee is $40 per person with registration by February 18; $45 per person at the door.



CREATING PROSPERITY IN CHALLENGING TIMES - NEW WORKSHOP!
Date / Time: Sat. February 27, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

This 3-hour workshop will incorporate ancient yogic and meditation techniques to help us deal with the challenges we face in today's world. We will learn and practice yoga and meditation to help us with three basic goals: 1) Staying physically healthy; 2) Staying positive and really using our time and energy in positive ways; and 3) Actively confronting fear and worry when they arise. No previous yoga or meditation experience is required.
Fee is $35 per person with registration by February 25; $40 per person at the door.

The Yoga For Right Now Video Series!!


Video #1: Kundalini Yoga for Releasing Stress - DVD or VHS
Video 1This program is suitable for beginning, intermediate, or advanced students. After a brief explanation of breathing and chanting, there are 3 yoga sets of approximately 30 minutes each. The first is a general set of warm-ups and stretches, focused on releasing stress from the body. The second set is "Exercise Set for Building the Nervous System," which better enables the body to process and release stress. The third set is "The Warrior's Tension Release," which is designed to strengthen the heart and release deep-seated stress.


Video #2: Kundalini Yoga for the Digestive System - VHS
Video 2This program is suitable for beginning, intermediate, or advanced students. After a brief explanation of breathing and chanting, there are 3 yoga sets of approximately 30 minutes each. The first is a general set of warm-ups and stretches, focused on strengthening the body's digestive system. The second set is "Healing the Stomach," which contains exercises that support the health of the stomach. The third set is "Strengthening the Stomach," which is designed to support effective digestion and core strength.
